„Most Americans never read a Book after they graduate High School, so I created a Photo Book.“
(Seph Lawless, ABC News)

I teach in a school with students who live among roaches, drug infested neighborhoods, murders and hunger.
We feed everyone breakfast and generally lunch, knowing dinners consist of starches and junk foods.
It is very sad to watch politicians and the religious right raise their voices saying „they take from you and me… and we feed them, house them…, they the ungrateful and filth (my words).
This is not the America I want, the hate and pointing of fingers. Where is the compassion? Who are these superiors that scowl while building palaces far from the city center?
They are us, the decayed who throw people and things away in tomorrows garbage.

Barry,
thanks a lot for your impressive Statement. I totaly agree, it’s the lack of Compassion which makes the times harder and harder.
All the Best and good luck for your work,
Gerhard

I took my then 8 year old granddaughter to see where I work 2 years ago. She said „Barry, has there been a tornado or storm, everything is destroyed“. I said „no Sophia, people live like this, this a neighborhood of extreme poverty“.
It was sad that she may not ever visit a place like this again. Her parents are junkies of the worst kind. They are addicts. They are consumers.
